How long can you carry your baby in a soft baby carrier?

One of the most frequently asked questions about the soft baby carriers new moms ask is how long they would be able to use these carriers.

We always explain that all the different kind of carriers are designed to carry babies from newborn till toddlerhood. One of our fellow babywearer mom just sent me a picture to state that you can even use it long after toddlerhood! The “baby” in the pouch is almost 7 years old and still fit into the carrier. What can also answer an other frequently asked questions that the pouch-sling has to be sized for the mom’s size not for the baby’s size!! Everything depends on the age appropriate positioning.
